Settings

Open Settings from the icon at the bottom of the sidebar. Settings are divided into three tabs: Appearance, Integrations, and Account.

Appearance

Dark mode. Choose between light, dark, or system-matched. Your preference is saved per-device and applied before first paint — no flash.

Background. Choose a subtle texture or solid colour for the editor background. Backgrounds are decorative only and don't affect exported content.

Integrations

MCP API key. Generate a personal API key here to connect Claude or another MCP client to your Mad Lit workspace. The key is shown once on generation — copy it before closing the dialog. If you lose it, delete the old key and generate a new one; existing connector sessions will need to be updated.

OAuth connector. If you've connected Mad Lit via Claude's custom connector flow (using OAuth rather than an API key), active sessions appear here. Revoke a session to immediately invalidate that connection.

Account

Your name, email, and profile picture are pulled from your Google account on sign-in. Mad Lit doesn't store a separate password.

Sign out ends your current session. Your data remains in place — sign back in with the same Google account to access it.

Delete account. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email info@madlit.io. Deletion is irreversible.
