Organising notes
Mad Lit gives you two tools for organising pages: sections and sub-pages. Neither is required — the Inbox works fine as a flat list — but both become useful as your workspace grows.
Inbox
New pages land in the Inbox by default. It's the catch-all for anything that doesn't belong to a section yet. You can leave pages here or move them later.
Sections
Sections are named groups in the sidebar — think folders. Create one by clicking + Section at the bottom of the sidebar. Give it a name (e.g. "Work", "Journal", "Projects") and pages you drag into it will be grouped there.
To rename or delete a section, hover over it in the sidebar and click the ··· menu. Deleting a section moves its pages to the Inbox — no content is lost.
Sub-pages
Any page can become a sub-page of another. Drag a page onto another page in the sidebar to nest it. Sub-pages are shown indented under their parent and collapse when the parent is closed.
Sub-pages work inside sections too — you can create deep hierarchies if you need them. There's no enforced depth limit.
Moving pages
Drag pages in the sidebar to reorder or move them between sections. You can also open the ··· menu on any page to find move options.
Trash
Deleting a page sends it to the Trash, where it can be restored. The Trash is accessible from the bottom of the sidebar. Pages in Trash are not visible in search results and don't count toward your workspace.
